Hi Craig

My address is:

Jon Hales
23 Barton Road
Haslingfield
Cambridgeshire
CB23 1LL
United Kingdom

My eBay.co.uk identity is jh.dircon.net (when I signed up to eBay in 2000,
my email provider was a company called Direct Connection).

I'm a regular user of eBay and would have no difficulty in placing orders
on your behalf. It's more tricky if the items are being sold by auction
with a specific end time - but not impossible. If you were going to pay by
PayPal I think they would only allow shipping to the registered address.

I have used Royal Mail Economy Postage for sending items to the US on a
number of occasions in the last 12 months - in each case hearing that the
package had been delivered around 2-3 weeks after I posted it. I used a
tracked service with insurance - but I think the tracking only covers the
UK part of the journey. I assume USPS provides a different tracking number
for the final part of the journey.

My experiences of eBay Global Shipping have been good. But I know others
would regard this as hazardous. However, a potential method of shipping to
you would be in the form of a Buy It Now auction on eBay.co.uk where the
price is the cost of my posting a package to the UK depot (and I state I'm
paying for shipping within UK). We would agree on the exact time when I
make the item live and would send you the item number. I think eBay would
be easy to deal with in the event of a parcel being lost - and I know they
refund the purchase cost if the item is damaged in transit.

Have you any news from your contact in Melbourne?

Best regards

Jon
