Hi Craig, sorry for the delay.

I'm in Tijuana, Baja California M=C3=A9xico, nearby the US border. I teach
basic electronics in the local university(collegue), in the past 20 years I
worked in the industry as a system integrator in areas such final test in
International Rectifier Mexico(now Infineon). I decided to teach instead
of the industry since the stress was killing me, and because aI can have
more time doing things I really enjoy.

I see what you say, I checked some 8088 boards and they are overpriced.

At the moment I'll be using the std bus, is a personal goal I have since 2
years ago.
Some of the projects I have in mind are just a hobby.

I'm going to get the sbc-85 you have, it looks great for me and don't see
any problem learning the instructions and architecture.

Thanks a lot for the multibus recomendation, for sure is now in the list of
To-Do stuff.

I remember that in International Rectifier they have the Tesec Tester that
used a backplane which I don't remember the bus type.

Anyway, I'm glad you helped me a lot.
I'll keep in touch.

W.
