I sent an email to the scanning company who claims that the code
sections in the MS Word version look fine, but they also sent a plain
text file.  In that file I see a lot of ^Ms within many of the lines of
code, so that would explain a lot of the weird results. But there are
also sections where it looks like items from each field of a group of
lines was printed on separate lines.  So I see a half dozen lines of
field 1, then a half dozen lines of field two, etc.  And the number of
original lines is inconsistent, so putting that back the way it's
supposed to be would be a real challenge. The ^Ms might be manageable
though.  I'll have to spend some more time looking at that.

I am certain I laid out the universal board but I cannot see that I ever had them made or tested.
I have a bunch of leadless modules, but I don't remember any longer
where they came from.  Could have been from dead boards, or perhaps
spares that were getting thrown out.  At any rate, it would be nice to
be able to use any of them that turn out to actually be usable. Do you
think an adapter would work?  A small board with the leadless socket on
the front and pins on the back to plug in where the leaded module
would.  That might be the easiest approach.  After I get the parts I
need and build the SBC-85 board I have, I'll see if I can make some kind
of adapter.  If that doesn't work then I guess I'll have to go shopping
for some leaded modules.

Well, I should have the ones that came with the two BPK boards, and I
probably put them someplace safe where I could easily find them again.
But now I can't.  So I'll have to use your design.  But they seem pretty
simple, so I expect it will work.

I know what you mean.  There's never any shortage of projects, fortunately.

Thanks,
